WW2 Radio Hallicrafters SX 28 Super Skyrider HF Communications Receiver
Offered for restoration, looks to be pretty much complete. Powers on and we have had it receiving. It is offered for spares or repair. Overall it looks to be an easy restoration, in our opinion. The front panel looks as though it will clean up very nicely. Presentable condition considering its age, commonly these receiver have been drilled and fiddled with to death.
These receivers are very highly sought after, they are one of the best receivers produced and were obviously made to the high standards that Hallicrafters are known for.
They were used in the UK by the Allied Forces during WW2, due to their sensitivity they were commonly used with a panoramic adaptor, BC1032, for searching and signal analysis.
With a bit of work this one will make a great example for your collection or use on the air.
