The R209 was designed at Christchurch during the later years of WW2, to replace the R107, R109 and other receivers.

The R209 was paired with transmitters such as the Wireless Set 53.

The interesting fact about the receiver is the case was designed for the failed Wireless Set 42, which didn't go beyond prototyping.

** Please note the power lead is not included but we do have them available in stock if needed.

The radio pictured is the one you will be sent.
